To recognize that Jesus laughed may require rethinking traditional ideas about deity."Well, yeah. Knowing the punchline to your jokes doesn't make them less funny! Although with time's arrow we can surprise ourselves as we assemble our humor. But even a timeless deity could perfectly perceive -- and surely, appreciate -- the patterns that define comedy. (Some might say that being a wit requires a degree of omniscience!)
